Very First Post

Hey everyone. So this is my first post.

I have 11 days before I leave for China. My flight leaves very early in the morning on Tuesday August 21st. I have bought almost everything I wanted to buy before I leave. I have packed almost everything, I need to do laundry and pack clothes but it's too early for that. I studied very little this summer, so I think the only thing I am stressed out about is that my Chinese is very poor.

I also have to finish the class I am taking this summer. It has been great. But I need to write a short research paper and take the final. I also have some work to do on my research proposal. I am going to see an advisor finally. I need to see if I can get credit for doing research, and what I need to do so that next year this project can be my qualifying paper for my major.

My laptop died. I swore a lot. I need to get the data retrieved, which the Geek Squad guys said I could do. So hopefully I haven't lost all my photos and such. I'm going to buy a new laptop, three years is sort of an average lifespan for a laptop hard drive, so oh well.

Today in Shoreline it is 61 degrees F, with 69% humidity and a light breeze. It feels like 61 degrees.

Today in Chengdu it is 73 degrees F, with 88% humidity, and it's raining a little. It feels like 73 degrees.

Hey Callista!! I'm sad that you're going, but I'm really excited for you too! We should call that computer place back and see if they were able to recover your files. I'm really looking forward to reading about all the stuff you'll be doing in China. man, it's weird thinking about how you're going to be leaving soon. Also thinking about how I'll be moving out of my apartment and the quarter is almost over and all that stuff too. ummmm anyways, I'm looking forward to having a picnic with you and my family later! love ya babe! -Tanner
