We figured out that we do get internet in our room, but only because it overlooks the internet bar. There was a computer problem blocking it earlier.
Yesterday was Day Three. We slept through our alarm like 19 times. Then we finally got up and didn't feel like rushing. We made a lunch and ate breakfast in our room.
Then we went to Kennedy Space Center! We saw a few exhibits that we had missed, such as the infamous Rocket Garden. We saw an exhibit on the wildlife and history of that part of Florida. Another room about early rockets and how the space race began. That was super interesting actually, I didn't know much about the men who first started launching rockets and why they did it. There was good info on the Russian space program as well that was new to me.
Then we went to the second space center area, which is a little ways away. It has the Astronaut Museum and Hall of Fame. It has more memorabilia and objects that were worn or taken into space, that have been donated by astronauts. It was good too. Also, the astronaut hall of fame, which was funny, you think they would all be just as famous as the next one. Reading their bios was amazing, they are people who accomplish so much in thier lives.
Then at 6 we drove to Cocoa Beach. It was pretty, the sun was setting behind us! Weird! It was the first time I had been in the Atlantic! Tanner thinks it was his first time too. We didn't want to change so we just waded in. It was touristy, and really East Coast feeling. But we liked it. It's a really long, sandy, white beach.
We had dinner in Cocoa Beach at a place the guide book we like recommended. It was called Rum Runner and was a bar basically, with a Tiki type of theme. But they have award winning New England style clam chowder, which is funny. We had that, and some beer, and some wings, and some chips and salsa. So it was a weird dinner. But it was really fun. There were other families relaxing and eating there too.
I will post more photos of that. Today we spent the whole day at Typhoon Lagoon which was intense. We have fun photos that I will post from there too.
